This August 2024, we are collaborating with locally-owned restaurants in Moorestown, NJ to introduce plant-based specials as a way to help the community lower its collective climate impact.
Each restaurant is creating at least 2 new plant-based specials that are available the entire month of August.
At the end of the challenge, we will present a report that highlights the environmental benefits of the initiative, including reductions in greenhouse gases achieved by the community and our restaurant partners!
Naan Indian Bistro:Β This fine dining restaurant offers a unique experience that blends traditional Indian flavors with modern culinary techniques. Known for their freshly baked naan and diverse gravy-based dishes, they bring a taste of their rich cultural heritage to South Jersey. Donβt miss their plant-based specials this August!

For the month of August, Naan Indian Bistro has committed to serving at least two plant-based specials in celebration of Moorestown’s Plant Based for the Planet challenge.Β
Bhundi Do Pyaza – Julienned okra, flash-fried & tossed in a tangy spicy mix with shallots, tomatoes & potatoes, served with Basmati rice
Aloo Beans Masala – Spiced, flavourful, and tasty Punjabi-style dish made with French beans & potatoes, served with Basmati rice.
Jackfruit Biryani – Tender Jackfruit, Basmati rice, special biryani masala & aromatics – Steamed together.

Moore Bagels: This neighborhood bagel shop is family-owned and operated by the Moore family.
